My kids’ favorite on ‘Taco Tuesdays’ is whole wheat tortilla chips. ‘Yesss! We get to eat chips for dinner!’ is what they say. And since we make them ourselves (both the tortillas and the chips) I am totally fine with it. In fact I don’t mind at all. They use them as scoops for our homemade guacamole 2.0. So it is a win-win.
Whole wheat tortilla chips are very easy and quick to make. Honestly I just give left over tortillas to my 8-year-old son and he makes them all by himself. If he can do it, so can you! Let’s make some tortilla chips!
Make plain tortilla chips or use this rub (see recipe below) I use for an extra kick.
I really hope you and your family enjoy these healthier tortilla chips as much as we do. It is:
a healthier option then store bought – easy and quick to make – great for dipping – a kid’s favorite – and really delicious
Tortilla chips are delicious on their own, but come on.. who doesn’t want to dive into guacamole or salsa with them? And they are a great addition to Taco Tuesday? Give it a try. I know you’ll love it!
