We all LOVE smoothies in this household. My kids like to make them theirselves and even put spinach and kale in them (as long as there are bananas and perhaps some pineapple in it for sweetness). We are also true chocoholics. We bake a lot with chocolate (exhibit A, B, C and D). I’ve even created my own healthy cocoa puffs recipe. I thought it was time for a chocolaty smoothie. So here’s my banana snickers shake for you!
This rich yet healthy banana Snickers shake consists of just 5 ingredients – bananas, peanut butter, cacao powder, avocado and water – all blended together into a rich and creamy smoothie in just a couple of minutes time.
How I make this banana Snickers shake?
Like I said, making this banana chocolate smoothie is easy peasy…
Put the ingredients for this healthy chocolate shake in a (highspeed) blender and blend it all into a smooth consistency. And that is it!
Fun fact: I have poured the mixture for this banana Snickers shake into a small loaf pan before and frozen it. And guess what? I makes great (n)ice cream! SWOON!
A quick and easy, creamy smoothie that tastes just like a Snickers bar! We all love it and we hope you do too. It is
rich & creamy – uber chocolaty – quick to make – wholesome – and SO delicious!

Banana Snickers shake
Equipment
- (highspeed) blender
Ingredients
- 2 bananas (frozen)
- 4 tbsp peanut butter (or sub other nut butter. I actually prefer almond butter, but using that wouldn't make it a Snickers shake, would it..)
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- ¼ small avocado
- 250 ml water (or you can also use coconut water to add some extra flavor (but totally not needed in my opinion)
- pinch sea salt (optional, to taste; I add some if I use unsalted peanut butter to balance it out)
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and pulse into a smooth consistency.
- Divide over glasses and serve immediately.
